If you've been following the process, we put 10 local high schools against each other to gather as many non-perishable food items as they could for the Food Pantries of the Capital District. Their time to collect food is over and the food has been piling up!

Though we won't announce the official winner until Tuesday morning at 7:00AM, the food has been filling up our garage at WGNA and it's an amazing sight to see! They've been sharing their journey on Instagram and Facebook with #GNAHungerGames, hosting events to get more food, and just regular students bringing in food to help.

The winning school gets to have Nashville recording artist LANCo perform but in the end, everyone's a winner, especially the food bank. Between Notre Dame-Bishop Gibbons (last year's winner), Colonie High School, Duanesburg High School, Galway High School, Waterford High School, Corinth High School, New Lebanon High School, Shenendehowa High School, Averill Park High School or Schoharie High School- one of them will be the winner! We're currently counting up the food and will let you know the final decision next week when they come to pick up the food!
