Your Town Thursday

Sometimes I think I'm going to run out of towns. Other times I think people are going to RUN me out of town for bothering them for information.  But I love creating songs for Your Town Thursday, so it's time to do it again.  Will it be Hudson Falls or Stephentown?

Had alot of fun with this one, thanks to all of your help on Facebook and all of your calls on the air.  That always helps.  I hate trying to pull facts out of thin air to make a song.  Here's your song, guys!

By popular demand, I am going to find out all that I can about this historic little spot in Fulton County. the question is - can I rhyme it all? With your help, YES!

Here's yet another Albany, Area town that we pass through so many times, yet know so little about. Well, I'm going to have to learn about it real quick if I am to put a song together for this Thursday! Please help!!!!!

I know it took awhile to get to this.  I wanted to write you a song long ago, but I thought you folks probably had a lot bigger things on your mind.  On the other hand, you need a little bit of fun in your lives, and I hope this helps provide it for at least 90 seconds (that's how long it is!)

I wanted to wait a little bit until things calmed down at least a little bit!  But it is now time for a song for this hard hit corner of the world in Montgomery County - Fort Plain.   I have 24 hours  to get this together (actually less by the time you read this) . A little teamwork here, folks...

Let's give these kids their "props".  They sat there outside in sweltering heat to write a song about ....the HEAT!  What a great group. Let's hear what they came up with!

Don't ask me how I ended up connecting Menands with Zac Brown.   I think it was playing one morning and when I heard "toes in the water , a## in the SAND", I stuck Menands in where SAND was -cuz it rhymed, see?  Again, don't ask...  Here's your song for Your Town Thursday

There has to be a town that I haven't written a song about yet.  There just HAS to be.  I might have to start writing about individual people soon!  In the meantime, give me a town, and I'll write you a song for this week's Your Town Thursday!

...And they deserve everything they get.  Poestenkill folk are really proud of their town.  You can tell by the response that I received.  Wow!  I could have written 5 songs with all of the information.  I love it!!

I've had several requests to write songs about these two towns.  I've been to both during my travels on the Reading, Writing and Rhyming Tour, but I've never actually written a song about the towns themselves.  So lets' take an old fashioned vote here in the comment section at the end of this article.
