Welcome to 2012. Everybody's got their resolutions to keep. Mine? I want to write a theme song for every town, city and hamlet in the Albany area. I got a good start in 2011, but it's a New Year, and there's still lots of work to be done!

Did you know that there's a diference between Galway the village and Galway the town? Did you know that there are only about 200 people there? That's so great!! The things you learn when research the towns, villages, hamlets and cities in our area for Your Town Thursday! I love this job!

I've had a great time sharpening up my jingle writing skills by creating theme songs for small towns. This will be my last one for the year! Now all I need is a town and some facts (and photos if you've got them!)

Are you proud of your town? I know a couple of folks who are-Bethany Sperbeck and John Krish. They both Facebooked me and asked why I haven't done a song for Cobleskill yet! Hey-you know what they say about the "squeaky wheel!"
I've been on vacation, and therefore had no time to write a local theme song for last week's Your Town Thursday, but I'm chomping at the bit to use my keyboards, so I put out the call, and it looks like, by popular listener demand, that Cobleskill will be next subject! Woot Woot!

This was an extremely fun and challenging song to put together. Actually, they're all fun to do, come to think of it. The challenging part was that most of the information I received about Amsterdam was negative!
