The restaurant industry in the Capital Region was hit hard by the pandemic and three counties have come up with a way for diners to support local restaurants and staff. It's called the "Tri-County Tip-Off Challenge" and if you are going out in the Capital Region all month long you can help.

If you love to go out and eat in Albany, Saratoga, and Schenectady Counties, you can really make a difference. Go to your favorite locally-owned restaurant in any of these counties throughout the month of June and then submit your receipt. The tip on each receipt will be uploaded to each county's page and will be counted toward the county tip total. Then at the end of the month, the county with the most tips wins according to News 10 ABC.

There is something in it for diners too. After you upload your receipt you can enter to win one of three prize gift baskets worth three hundred dollars. Plus whichever county wins, the losing counties' visitor bureau will dine at a restaurant in the winning county and show proof by posting on social media.

There are so many wonderful restaurants in all of the counties. For me, in Saratoga County, I love Sushi Thai at the Park in Clifton Park, Mama Mia in Saratoga, Buccierro's in Stillwater just to name a few. I am sure I will be dining in all three counties during this month not only to support the challenge and the great staff that works at these amazing restaurants but because I love eating delicious food at all of these places.

You can post your receipts at Discover SaratogaDiscover Albany, and Discover Schenectady.
