So, you want to line dance but you're scared because you have no idea what to expect? Let me take the plunge for you and tell you how it goes!

WGNA sponsors line dancing every Tuesday night at Frog Alley Brewing in Schenectady from 7:00pm-9:00pm. The first week, to be honest, was the first time I had been at a bar when people were line dancing. I took a step back, took it all in, dipped my toe in the water and learned how everything went. The second week, I jumped right in!

Let me be that first class for you, so that you don't have to tip your toe in and you can dive in too! So, to start, the class is only $5 which is cheaper than probably anything else you're gonna do on a Tuesday night. Second, it's a lot of fun.

Before the class starts at 7:00pm, there is some free dancing. Don't get intimidated, the dances you'll be doing are easier than whatever moves they're somehow performing in front of you. At 7:00pm, the classes start. Aaron and his 'A Team' of Line Dancers are really great at breaking down the moves and making sure you really get it. You repeat each step a couple of times and soon your body feels like it's moved like that the whole time.

It may seem difficult at first but in a room full of around 80 people, no one is noticing your mistakes and honestly, you're not the only one. He's started off the last two classes with a "Two Step" which is a great way to warm yourself up to moving your body and it's pretty easy too. If you've always wanted to try it, all you have to do is do it. Grab a friend or two or even just go by yourself! The best part about this is that everyone is in a line so no one will know you came alone and you may end up leaving with new friends. Plus, now you'll be able to impress your friends at some of the country shows this year!
