We Got To Learn About Wildwood Programs
Recently, Armen Williams from our sister station 104.5 The Team, and I had a chance to visit and tour Wildwood Programs at 2995 Curry Road Extension in Schenectady.
If you don’t know about Wildwood, it’s a very special place that does so much for individuals that have neurological impairments, learning disabilities and autism. As they say - “Wildwood Programs, Learning For Life”. The home page of their website states exactly what they do - “Providing comprehensive services for children and adults with autism spectrum disorders, complex learning disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
While we were there, we saw some of the teachers helping these young people with so many things that most of us take for granted. Things that we learned in school - math, English, gym classes, music and much more.
On Sunday morning, you can learn more about Wildwood Programs from the man that gave us the tour, Tom Schreck. He’s their public relations guy and I’ll be talking with him on one segment of ‘Capital Region Sunday’, our public affairs show which will air from 6:00 a.m. to 6:10 a.m., on 107.7 WGNA.
