WATCH: Remember When Hardy Shotgunned Beers With Fans In Troy?
As we get ready for Hardy at SPAC this summer, on a Throwback Thursday let's relive a memorable moment from one of his first visits to the Capital Region.
One of our favorite things at GNA, and for you as a Country fan, is getting to see our favorite Country stars rise through the ranks. From small club shows to opening spots on big tours to becoming headliners at SPAC, it is so cool seeing artists grow and build their careers. And so many over the years have made you and GNA a part of that process by playing GNA concert events, giving you a chance to see them before they hit it big.
Hardy is one of those artists! As we get ready for Hardy and his first headling show on the Broadview Stage at SPAC on Friday, June 7th, it is a great time to take a look back at some great moments we have shared with Hardy over the years.
Hardy Sings "Redencker" Live On-Air, Reveals Most Redneck Thing He Has Done
Back in March of 2019, Hardy opened up a sold-out show for Morgan Wallen at the old Upstate Concert Hall. On his way into the show he stopped by the GNA studios to hang out with me on the air to not only sing his debut single "Rednecker," but we also had some fun learning the most redneck thing he has ever done!
I have to say, tattooing a pass to your local county fair on your wrist get you to legendary redneck status.
Hardy Performs In Troy, Shotguns Beers With GNA Listeners
Our most memorable night with Hardy back in the day was definitely when he performed a sold-out GNA New Music Series show at Bootlegger's in Troy for 300 fans.
He performed a stunning acoustic set laden with songs that would become Hardy classics, as well as singing some of the monster hits he has written for others like "God's Country" (Blake Shelton) and "Simple" (Florida-Georgia Line).
But the most memorable moment of the night was when two of our favorite GNA listeners Jenna and Ashley Rouse coaxed Hardy into shotgunning a PBR tall-boy with them on stage. (Disclaimer: It did not take much to talk him into it!)
Only time will tell what memorable moments we will get to experience with Hardy at SPAC Friday, June 7th but I know this - based on our past experiences, you will not want to be sitting on the sidelines for this one!
Tickets for Hardy at SPAC go on sale Friday, January 19th at 10 am through Live Nation.
