It's another coronavirus cancellation.

Even getting rid of some of your belongings is not immune to the COVID-19 pandemic. Warrensburg residents will have to wait another year to clean out their garages and basements.

The Warrensburg Chamber of Commerce announced on Facebook Monday they are cancelling their annual "World's Largest Garage Sale." This year's garage sale was scheduled to take place October 2nd - 4th. The Facebook post says  "The event will not take place as planned due to the uncertainty surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic and the risk to public health of a large-scale gathering such as this annual event."

Garage sales did get the go ahead to resume from the states, but the scale of this one in Warrensburg is just different than any single home sale. It is a widely attended event, so you can imagine the concern the chamber must of had with having it go on as planned. And hey, if you live in Warrensburg, the good news is you can stash the items you were going to sell this year for next year's sale which the Chamber says is scheduled for October 1st - 3rd, 2021. Until then, there is always Facebook yard sale!
