Capital Region SPCA’s Urgent Plea for Fosters and Adopters-Can You Help?
The Fulton County Regional SPCA is urgently appealing to the public to foster or adopt a pet. The shelter is at full capacity and cannot accept any more strays or surrendered animals at this time. Can you help?
According to a statement posted on the Fulton County Regional SPCA, “We cannot take in a single stray or surrender right now. We are out of space. If you’ve ever thought about fostering, now is the time.”
The shelter will work directly with potential foster families to find a pet that matches their household, lifestyle, and any existing pets. All costs for the pet will be covered by the SPCA.
“You provide love, safety, and a soft place to land. That’s it,” the shelter emphasized.
The SPCA issued an additional plea for adopters. They stressed that many dogs are waiting, each with unique personalities, ages, and sizes. These dogs do not belong in kennels. They should be with families who will love them, in homes where they can thrive.
If you have questions about fostering, you should email foster@fcrspca.org. Questions about adoption can be directed to adopt@fcrspca.org. The shelter can also be reached at (518) 725-5956 or by email at contact@fcrspca.org. Immediate action can make a life-changing difference.
