Trouble In Local Club Led To Closing For Good
Early in 2014, a highly publicized barroom incident has led to a Troy business closing.
The owners of Kokopelli’s on Fourth Street in Troy made the decision to close and posted the news on their Facebook page.
The incident involved some the staff of the club were attempting to close the bar because some of the patrons were smoking marijuana inside of the club. That’s when big fight erupted which involved some Troy Police officers and some customers.
One of the results of the fight led to the responding officers being accused of using excessive force during the brawl. There were eight customers arrested and eight Troy Police officers injured that night.
