En route to Alaska to promote his new hit, "Just Fishin," Trace Adkins lost his home to a fire on Saturday. Adkins was suppose to play a two shows and then go on a fishing trip with some friends.  When he landed, he immediately boarded a flight to go right back home to Tennessee, upon hearing the news.

Adkins' wife, Rhonda, was not home at the time, but the couple's three daughters were, along with their nanny.  Fortunately, they had gone over what to do if a fire ever broke out and the girls were able to get out of the home safely along with the family's pet dog.  Rhonda was only a few blocks away when a neighbor called to tell her about the fire.

Fortunately, for the Adkins' family, they had practiced fire safety with their three girls and taught them that in the event of a fire, they should run to the big tree in their front yard that they had tied with a yellow ribbon.  The biggest thing the family lost, besides their home, were all their photographts.  Rhonda Adkins stated, "I have not backed up all my photographs, and I'm just sitting here sick because those are the things that matter the most.  It's your memories, our wedding pictures, I don't have, because the negatives are in the house."

Adkins' latest single, "Just Fishin," is being released, ironically, this week.  His video for the song features his youngest daughter Trinity, as they go on a father-daugther fishing trip.  The video was released on Friday.
