On Sunday morning, a fire on Duane Avenue in Schenectady extensively damaged a home, and almost took the life of a man on the second floor that was trapped.

In the story from WNYT, one of the neighbors that was outside of her home, along with two other neighbors, ran into the burning house. Susan Trubridge and the other two neighbors saw the flames and smoke, and ran into the burning structure to assist anyone that may have been in the building.

They were the people that rescued the man on the second floor and brought him to safety. Residents commended the three for their heroic efforts.
