This Is The Worst Workplace Accident I’ve Ever Read About

It involves Bumble Bee Foods.  This is absolutely unbelievable.  I can't process this no matter how many times I read it. Can you? 

No, I don't have any photos of this.  I don't want any.  I wouldn't have the stomach to keep even peak with one eye.

OK, are you ready?  According to Newser.com and NBC News, Bumble Bee Foods out of Santa Fe Springs, California has to come up with $6 million to the family of an employee who fell into a vat and cooked alive in 12,000 pounds of tuna fish!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the biggest settlement in California's history.  Actually, the company got half of the settlement to buy new ovens.  Jose Melena's family got $1.5 million.

The actual circumstances are described in the article.  I guess a coworker thought he was in the bathroom when he was actually inside the oven working on it.  The coworker turned on the oven and that was it…..
