New York is a huge state. Granted, not as big as California or Texas but we're still a pretty big state. If you were to ask me what the best thing in this entire state is, I don't know if I could tell you. Luckily, I found an article that did it for me.

I was reading Thrillist and they listed the best thing in every state, for New York they picked The Statue of Liberty. Don't get me wrong, it's beautiful, historic, but the best thing in the entire state? It could be the Finger Lakes, Niagara Falls, The New York Yankees, or if you're from the West I hear Wegman's is a big deal. I've never travelled the entire state but there are some amazing things here that I think would be strong contenders for the best. Until I see it all, I'll have to get back to you. What I do know, though, is the 518.

It got me thinking about the best thing in the Capital Region. Would you pick a building like Proctors Theatre? An outdoor adventure like the Adirondack Mountains? A food like mini hot dogs? Personalities like Brian & Chrissy?

My favorite thing is probably Lake George (with Proctors coming in at a close second). Since I've lived here my whole life, everything I love in this area is tied to a great memory or experience I've had, it's hard for me to even narrow it down to just those two. If someone were to ask you what your favorite thing in the Capital Region was, what would you say?
