Taylor Swift Makes Waves with Her ACM Milestone Award Win [Watch]

A lot of people were concerned that Taylor not only showed up to last night's awards, but she took home one of the night's top honors, an ACM Milestone Award.

Taylor's mom, Andrea, who was recently diagnosed with cancer, came out on stage to present her daughter with the award.  And, let's face it, love her or not, it was a super sweet moment.

"I’ve seen [music] carry her through every emotion…good or bad,” Andrea Swift noted, audibly choking up as she added,

 

“For many years I was her constant companion. I witnessed a girl with very few friends become one with many, learning to stand up for the things she believes in. Being brave enough to explore her musical curiosity…Giving herself to those in need."

 

Her dad, Scott, also was in the house, smiling and apparently enjoying watching his daughter sing and dance along to all the amazing performances.

Personally I thought it was clear that Taylor deserved the award, but many people felt like she broke up with country music, and should have moved on.
