SUNY and CUNY are in the process of wiping out most tuition and fees that were incurred during the pandemic.

There is another program in jeopardy for New York State college students. This one is for New Yorkers who are able to attend state colleges tuition-free. This program may not be available because of the coronavirus pandemic.

A statewide program is being offered for volunteer firefighters to help pay for tuition. It's an effort to attract more volunteers to firefighting. Here's how it works.

Everyone has an opinion on Governor Cuomo and how he's been doing with our state. Regardless of how you feel about him most of the time, it's hard to dislike this new change he's implementing.

Hey New York, it looks like we're about to be the only station going tuition free! So how could this affect you? Well, the Excelsior Scholarship, as they're calling it states that if you're a family that makes under $125,000 a year (which, um, is a lot of us, no?) then your student could be heading to a 4-year college tuition free!

Not lying.  The Ostrofsky's  of Houston, Texas made a promise to their five kids - they would have no student loans to pay off.  These parents may be eating their words (and lots of  macaroni and cheese dinners) real soon.

Tuition this fall at local colleges will be higher due to the state’s cut in aid to community colleges.
