Malls across the U.S. and New York State are changing. Some have become entertainment hubs while others have been completely torn down. There is a plan for Wilton Mall to become a desirable place to live.

More apartments are going up. But these won't be your average apartments. Many amenities are planned and they will fit in nicely in Saratoga Springs on seventeen acres.

Will apartments and townhouses be built on the Wilton Mall land? A vote has moved the plans closer to approval but some residents highly oppose them.

We have seen a gradual change from the shopping mall as we know it into entertainment complexes and other venues. There is a developer that could be changing the landscape of Wilton Mall.

Crossgates Mall has shifted gears with more entertainment venues opening over the last few years, and the mall's evolution will continue with another new project.
