A new survey of the nation's lunch scene has served up some hefty praise for the Empire State.

We are always looking to find new ways to make healthy lunches accessible to students in school. But do these programs actually work?

Public schools across New York state are hoping to save the free breakfast and lunch programs for their students. During the pandemic, there was funding available to make sure that students were fed both breakfast and lunch each day for free. Now the program is in jeopardy.

Della Curry was the kitchen manager for the Cherry Hill School District in Aurora, CO. Well, she was the kitchen manager until she was fired last Friday afternoon for giving children who did not have the money free lunches.

You might be surprised at the answer, according to a new study.

Public School 244 in Flushing, Queens became the first elementary school in the U.S. to offer students a completely vegetarian menu!  Pretty crazy, right? I'm really not sure which part of this story is the craziest. Maybe it's the fact that a woman would steal so much money from a school system, maybe it's the fact that she stole it all by stuffing it in her bra, or maybe it's the amount of money that officials think she stole over a seven-year period.
