road work

There is already a ton of roads being worked on across the Capital Region. The New York State Department of Transportation wants to let you know when and where road work is being done.

It seems that every place I drive lately, there is road work.  In Niskayuna I was riding my bike through a small neighborhood, and even THAT road was ripped up.  You have to constantly dodge those darn cones.  Hmmm--brings back an old parody, and I mean REAL old.

A project to replace the bridge carrying Route 9p over I-87 will be causing some delays on the Northway this week.  The original plans to close lanes on the Northway by Exit 14 will be delayed, however, a day due to the weather.  The work will involve closing all northbound lanes at four different points during the night.
