respect

Though I've never served, the military hold a special place in my heart. They do so much for me, I try to find what I can do to support them. I recently found the organization Wreaths Across America and now, I never see a future Christmas without them.

Troy is now doing even more to support the veterans who fought for our freedoms. A Troy Military Banner kickoff program was on Sunday and since then, you're going to see something different lining the streets.

I was so annoyed over the weekend watching the Kentucky Derby. It had nothing to do with the large field of twenty horses, the jockeys or how much attention was being paid to the event. It had to do with the playing of the National Anthem.

So, I was looking through the local TV news websites this morning and this headline on the News 10 ABC webpage caught my attention, "Football coach fired after punishing child for allegedly bullying teammate". Really? The fact that stories like this even still exist makes me worry about where we are heading as a society.

There are times you see a video and you just get a giant smile on your face, and it happened when I watched this video. When I was a little girl, I took dance and really enjoyed it, but this little girl gets into the song! She even corrects her fellow dancers when they are off...

We had a discussion about this very subject this morning.  I had no chair when I came in. A new employee from another studio ripped it off. I was PISSED (not really, but it made for a good bit and conversation about respect in the workplace.  How is it where YOU work?

I had yet ANOTHER great experience - this time in Gloversville (Sean's old stomping ground).  The school? Kingsborough Elementary School.  The age?  A mixed group of K-5, and extremely creative. I have proof below!
