It was announced this week that Friends will become an off Broadway musical in the fall. My 90's self is pretty excited about it, and it got me thinking how cool it would be if this is a new trend.

One of our Upstate New York treasures is the Spa Little Theater, next to SPAC, in Saratoga Springs, New York. Host to the Home Made Theater, the 2013-2014 season has kicked off with a rolicking production of The Drowsy Chaperone.

The familiar 'typewriter' rhythm of the hit song '9 to 5' kicked off a journey back to a corporate office in New York City in 1979, where a chauvinistic boss was about to be taught a lesson by three secretaries with big dreams and imaginations for a better workplace.

Dolly Parton's '9 to 5: The Musical' was one of the best shows I've ever seen on Broadway.  If you're looking for a fun, inspirational story with music that will make you smile and sing along, this is it!

People outside of Country Music are often surprised when they learn that several Nashville stars have had success on Broadway. I'm not sure if they're more surprised about the amount of talent some of our Country singers possess or that Broadway actually welcomed them with open arms!
