Did you register to vote? You had the opportunity to do it right from the comfort of well, wherever you were with your smartphone. It was a simple internet form that needed to be done by October 14th to have you all set to place your vote this November. Apparently a lot of us in New York took that few minutes  because we've broken a record!

You see it all the time. Someone posts a status, a meme, an article and inevitably, within the comments section someone has taken the time to write: "who cares?!" Or even worse, gone out of their way to name-call, belittle, argue, etc. with people they might not even know. And I'm left wondering, "What's the point?"

I don't have any kids, so I'm not sure how I would feel about this type of attitude at such a young age if I were a parent. However, it just made me smile so big!

I like to pride myself on the fact that I'm from the Capital Region. We are lucky to have such an amazing community to grow up in and be a part of. I feel even more privileged to be a part of an area that has such high standards for ourselves, which shows in the quality of our businesses as well as our school systems.

Saturday was a busy day for me, so for myself, I headed for a bit of relaxation in between my events. One of my favorite places to be is Peebles Island in Waterford. It's basically right in my backyard yet feels like a faraway land considering it's city like surroundings.

This past Saturday, I had event after event. It was a long day, but at the final event, I was given a treat! Here's the thing though, I saved it for today because I knew it would brighten up my Monday. The big question is would I actually like this "different" concoction.
