New Stuyvesant Plaza Culinary Store Sets Grand Opening For This Weekend
Stuyvesant Plaza has always been one of Albany's premier shopping and dining destinations, and they are getting ready for another big grand opening.
A popular kitchenware and culinary retailer is opening a new store at the Plaza, and they will be celebrating the opening in a pretty unique way - with a huge baguette-breaking ceremony.
Sur La Table To Celebrate Albany Grand Opening
Stuyvesant Plaza announced in a press release Tuesday that Sur La Table, described as "...an experiential destination for those passionate about cooking and entertaining," will celebrate its grand opening this Saturday, at 10 am. The store will mark the grand opening with a ribbon cutting and also by breaking an "oversized baguette" provided by Stuyvesant Plaza neighbor Bountiful Bread.
There will also be several giveaways happening at the grand opening, including the chance to win a free cooking class for two, coffee sampling from Uncommon Grounds, and the first 150 customers to make a purchase of $100 or more will get a free towel set.
Sur La Table has been in business and currently operates in over 20 states, and CEO Jordan Voloshin says this is the store's first Upstate New York location. If you check out the website, you can see they are all about high-quality kitchenware items for all of your culinary needs with everything from cookware, dinnerware, utensils, linens, some appliances, and so much more.
