In our final weeks of winter, we may actually see our first significant snowfall!  Not counting a surprising 'fall' snow storm on Oct. 29, this could be the first winter 'storm' of the 2012 season.

According to weather.com, we could see snow from Buffalo to Bangor on Wednesday, February 29. Wondering if the snow will actually arrive, unlike the many other storms we've missed this winter? Well, according to weather.com, there is a 100% chance of snow!  Their forecast predicts that 1-3 inches of snow will arrive Wednesday afternoon and we will see 3-5 inches by Wednesday night.

According to News10 we could see snow starting between 1 and 2pm in the Albany Area of New York with a wintry mix to the South of Albany. Either way, we're sure that people who make their living snow plowing and shoveling will welcome the white and wet precipitation with open arms. In addition, we may actually have a winner in our First Flakes contest.

GNA will keep you updated with News10/ABC's Steve Caporizzo starting at 6am on the Sean and Richie show on 1077.
