Rivers Casino and Resort Released Final Opening Day Detail

Rivers Casino and Resort in Schenectady released today the one missing detail from their opening day schedule - The time the doors open.

The Casino is set to open February 8^th at noon!!  Perfect for me, I can go right after the show!

It appears everything is on schedule for the grand opening, so let’s update what we know so far.

• Casino Cost: $330 million
• Parking: 1,700 parking spaces plus valet services to open at 6 pm
• Gaming Floor: 1,150 slot machines, 67 gaming tables, a 15-table poker room – Must be 21 years old)
• Non-Gaming Amenities: Entertainment lounge, banquet hall, dining options and a spa (Spa to open by end of February).  Guests under 21 allowed in these amenities.
• Hotel: 165-room hotel is on track to open this summer, The Courtyard by Marriott at Mohawk Harbor opened in October
• Jobs: 1,100 employees; 50 more employees to be hired this year
