Red Cross Looking For Local Heroes
Every year, the local chapter of the American Red Cross holds a breakfast to honor those in our community who we consider to be heroes. Now they need your help to nominate these individuals for this year's honor breakfast. On November 2nd, The American Red Cross of Northeastern New York will honor a new class at a "Real Heroes" honor breakfast. They are looking for individuals who have acted with bravery and with their service helped to save lives in our communities.
There are six categories that they are looking for. They include Emergency Relief Hero, Life Saving Hero, Adult Good Samaritan, Youth Good Samaritan, Blood Donor Hero, and Military Hero. If you know someone in your life or community who fits these categories, you are urged to nominate them for recognition at the 2017 Real Heroes Breakfast.
There is some additional criteria and explanations of award categories that you can read through on the nomination form.
You can also help honor those at the breakfast by becoming a sponsor. If you want more information, please contact Kaitlyn Van Dyke at (518) 694-5108.
