1979- Mel Tillis' hit 'Coca Cola Cowboy' takes the No. 1 slot on the Billboard country singles chart. The song is featured in the movie "Every Which Way But Loose" starring Clint Eastwood.
1973- Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn hit No. 1 with 'Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man.' They are named the CMA Vocal Duo of the Year 1972-1975.
