Put a Cork in it-Adirondack Wine & Food Fest Canceled
Just when we thought 2021 would bring back some of our favorite events, the Adirondack Wine and Food Festival has been canceled for the second year in a row. Even though more and more New Yorkers are getting vaccinated, organizers decided to push back the popular event with guidance from the New York state health department. It has been rescheduled for June 25-26 of 2022, according to News 10 ABC
The Adirondack Wine and Food Festival is one of the most anticipated events of the summer but it looks like we will have to wait another year. It's one of the largest events that draw people from all over to enjoy craft breweries, local restaurants, and wines from all over.
There were high hopes that the festival could go on this year but organizers wanted to be cautious with protocols and social distancing still in place. They are excited to bring a bigger and better Adirondack Wine and Food Festival for 2022.
On the Adirondack Wine and Food Festival Facebook page, organizers said of the postponement:
Most importantly the health and safety of our attendees, vendors, volunteers, and employees are of the utmost importance to us,” the post says. “We want to do our part of stopping the spread and keeping our community safe!
Here's hoping that other events this summer will go on as planned. Although we all understand the decision of the organizers, I am really anxious to get back to festivals, concerts, and other events so we have some sense of normalcy. Fingers crossed, more things will be opening not being postponed.
