Pumpkin Pie – A Real Taste Of Home
As the nights and days get cooler and the leaves turn it is pumpkin pie time here in New York. You don't have to wait until Thanksgiving, you can enjoy a homemade pumpkin pie anytime. Our very own Scotty Blaine is always on pumpkin pie patrol here at the studios and can't get enough of the stuff. So if you bake an extra one, remember him.I was born in Glens Falls, but my family moved to the deep south and I lived in Florida and Alabama when I was kid before moving up here in the late 70's to finish high school. The south is the home of the best pecan pie in the world, but they can't carry New York's book matches when it comes to pumpkin pie. Here is an incredible home made pumpkin pie recipe that anyone can handle from the readers of Taste of Home Magazine. I am going to give it a shot myself this year and let you know how it turns out.
The Taste of Home Cooking School is coming October 18, 2012 to Albany, NY at the Holiday Inn on Wolf Road. Doors open at 5P and tickets are $12 and you can get them here. The last time we held this event at this location it sold out quick, so don't wait to get your tickets!
