Public Schools Being Scammed By Bogus Book Bills [VIDEO]

It's happening in over 20 states, and New York is one of them.  If you work in the business office of a local school, you might want to pay close attention to this story.  It could cost your district money! 

There is a scam going around.  I happened to spot this on NBC News.com  A firm calling themselves the "Scholastic Company" is sending out fake bills to schools for books that they never ordered!  This is the story in a nutshell from a report outside of our viewing area, but it applies to us too.

If you see this bill on your desk, do not confuse it with the Scholastic Book Company!  Report it immediately to the Better Business Bureau!.  Wow -schools are having a hard enough time with budgets these days.  This is ALL they need - spending money that they don't have for books they never ordered!
