Woman in Albany wins $1Million dollars from a Stewart's in Slingerlands!

According to News 10 ABC, the last day for the Stewart's located at 1710 Central Ave. in Albany will be January 16th, so you still have a few days to pick up your favorite half gallon or hand-packed pint!

So why would a popular Stewart's, in a high-traffic area, be forced to shut its doors?

The answer, according to the report,  is that they were unable to keep up with customer demands.

The location does not have the ability to accommodate the equipment or space needs to expand food-to-go offerings or gasoline and cannot expand to meet the needs of customers. Employees have been offered opportunities at nearby locations.  -Stewart's Comment Via News 10 ABC

There is certainly no shortage of convenience stores along that stretch of road in Albany.  In fact, Stewart's Shops have a brand new location at 1560 Central Ave., about a mile or so away.

What will happen to the employees who work there after January 16th?

Well, according to the story, those currently working at that location have been offered positions at nearby Stewart's.

According to their website, they employ over 4,500 people throughout New York state and Vermont.
