Fastest Growing Capital Region Burger Chain Expanding to Clifton Park and Beyond

Herbie’s Burgers has no plans to slow down, and they are adding another Capital Region location. This will be their eighth in the area.

Clifton Park is next on the list. Herbie's Burgers is getting ready to open at Clifton Park Center, and they are already taking applications for staff. This will be the newest Capital Region spot, and it marks another big step for the fast-growing local chain.

Saratoga fans will also see changes soon. The current pop-up at The Ice House will shift into a more permanent home later this year, when it moves downtown to the new Pint Sized location on Phila Street.

According to the Albany Business Review, Clifton Park is not the only expansion in the works. Herbie’s is heading beyond the region for the first time with a restaurant in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The city will bring a new challenge, but the founders see it as the perfect test for their branding and menu.

The growth has been steady since the first Herbie’s opened on Lark Street in 2021. Guilderland, Troy, Schenectady, the Empire State Plaza, and now Clifton Park have all joined the lineup. Along the way, Herbie’s has built a reputation for simple burgers done right, and the popularity has reached the point where new locations are often pitched to the team instead of the other way around.

Looking ahead, they plan to launch franchising once they have 10 company-owned locations open. The long-term vision is even bigger, with hopes of eventually seeing more than 100 Herbie’s Burgers across the country. For now, Clifton Park gets the spotlight as the next opening to watch.
