Poker Run To Benefit Area Veterans

Veterans.  How can we ignore them after all they've done?  Well, we're not ignoring them around these parts.  We want to tell you about a great event to raise money for veteran programs.

It's the 3rd Annual Poker Bike Run, put on by the Helderberg American Legion Riders Post #977.  This is happening on Aug 29th, and will proceed rain or shine.

Organizer Todd Hubbard told me in a Facebook message that their first bike run raised $10,000 for wounded warriors and the  2nd raised $15,000 This year they hope to top these numbers.  We need to up the ante here. !

The ride begins at the Voorheesville Fire Department, 12 Altamont Rd., Voorheesville, NY. They'll even have breakfast sandwiches and coffee available.  They also have a hot and cold buffet for lunch. The entrance fee is only $25.00 a person
