Pay to Park In Saratoga This Summer-What You Need To Know
If you plan to go to Saratoga Springs this summer or you are a resident, get ready to pay to park throughout the city. There are many different options depending on residency. Here's the breakdown.
Saratoga Springs is starting its seasonal parking program on May 26th. It will run through September 1st. During this time, parking in city-owned lots and garages will cost two dollars per hour. Overnight parking from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. will be twelve dollars. On-street parking stays free.
There’s a new permit available for residents who live in the Saratoga Springs City School District. If you pay school taxes there, you can get a permit by the month or for the full season.
Here is what it will cost Saratoga Springs residents. Monthly prices are thirty-five dollars for May and June, forty-five dollars for July, and fifty-five dollars for August and September. A full-season permit costs one hundred dollars, but it has to be bought in May or June.
Permits are sold through the city’s website.
If you work for a downtown business, your employer can get you a free permit. Employers just need to register by emailing the city. parking@saratoga-springs.org
Those who have permits don’t need to worry about two or three-hour parking limits in certain areas.
If you get a ticket but qualify for a permit, the city may forgive it. Just make sure you don’t have unpaid tickets when applying.
This program helps manage busy summer parking while offering locals a more affordable option.
