About 3:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, the East Greenbush Police were called by some people in the Genesee Avenue area, that were rudely awakened by shouting and fighting in the streets and on some of the front lawns. When the police arrived, they found the suspect, a 19-year-old stumbling in the street, drinking and being belligerent. Then he allegedly threw a nearly empty vodka bottle on a lawn when he saw the police.

That’s when they arrested Keenu T. Watso and charged him with Disorderly Conduct and Unlawful Possession Of An Alcoholic Beverage. Watso was brought into police headquarters and issued an appearance ticket. He was then released to the custody of a family guardian.

That wasn’t the end. About 4:15 a.m., the guardian called 9-1-1 to report that Watso was allegedly going through her yard and angrily throwing stuff around, apparently in a rage because he couldn’t find his cell phone. The police responded again and re-arrested Watso for recklessly damaging property. This time, he was charged with Fourth Degree Criminal Mischief.

According to a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, at around 6:00 a.m., Watso was in East Greenbush Town Court where bail was set at $2,500 dollars. He was sent to the Rensselaer County Jail. He’s scheduled to be back in court on Wednesday, November 5.
