Downtown Saratoga Springs will be getting a really cool new restaurant concept this spring that will blend a noodle bar, restaurant, and cocktail lounge for a laid-back eatery.
Who is Opening this New Place?
The owners of Seneca in Saratoga, Mike, and Shelley Spain have done an amazing job elevating the foodie scene in the Spa City. They are former chefs from Druthers and opened Seneca in 2019. They are now branching out and starting another cool concept.
What Other Restaurant are they Opening?
It's called Rhea and it is a complimentary restaurant to Seneca. Because of the pandemic, Seneca started a Noodle House pop-up. They will split Rhea's menu into two different sections. There will be small plates that customers can share that will feature fried chicken bao buns, blackened green beans, tuna tartare, and chorizo dumplings. The other side will be all ramen. They have been perfecting their house-made noodles and broths. Mike Spain said that they are constantly learning new techniques and ingredients while having a blast making it according to Saratoga Living.
Rhea will be located in downtown Saratoga where the old Saratoga Stadium Bar used to be.
What Will Rhea look like on the Inside?
There is a cool concept that the owners are going for. They will have a thirty-seat bar that will serve beer, wine, and cocktails and it will be located down the center of the dining room area. They will also have leather booth seating along the outside. They will also offer indoor and outdoor seating at Rhea. The entire front of the building will be all glass and retractable so the indoor and outdoor seating is seamless.
The owners are hoping to open Rhea this month. Mike said of opening in downtown Saratoga:
Saratoga is known for so many things, and we think being a food destination is one of them. It’s exciting to be a part of a group of owners and chefs that make up such a great restaurant scene. We hope that Rhea will be a great addition and complement to what is already here.
