No More Plastic Bags at Stewart’s
My favorite plastic bags have to be the sturdy ones that we get from Stewart's Shops. It was announced recently that they will be complying with the plastic bag ban and doing away with theirs too. According to News 10 ABC, when the statewide plastic bag ban takes effect on March 1, 2020, Stewart's Shops will be ditching their bags too. Those long-lasting white plastic bags with the maroon Stewart's logo will be going away forever. I know I have at least three under my kitchen sink right now.
Stewart's Shops took to their Facebook page to make the announcement saying,
With our efforts to Go Green ♻ and the statewide plastic bag ban beginning March 1st, we will no longer be offering our Stewart’s Shops plastic bags. If you have some laying around, we say – keep reusing them! We've seen them serve you in many ways – from acting as a lunch tote to holding your wet bathing suits and while we’re saying goodbye, we want to know… How have our plastic bags been a part of your life?
It is truly the end of an era. Goodbye, reliable, sturdy, white plastic, iconic bags. We had some good times.
