New York Mom Births Massive 15 Pound ‘Miracle Baby’

A mom who gave birth to a massive 15lbs, 5oz  baby told reporters, "I knew she was gonna be big, but I didn't anticipate no 15 pound baby!"  Those are the words of a New York mom who gave birth to a record setting baby girl on March 12th.

Joi Buckley and her husband Norman from Corning, NY welcomed baby Harper on March 12, 2019 via C-section. The 15 pound baby is the biggest ever delivered at Arnot Ogden Medical Center according Rochesterfirst.com.  She is believed to be one of the biggest ever delivered in the entire state of New York.

According to the report, Harper was taken to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit to have her sugar and oxygen levels monitored. That is where she remains today.

It was only a few years ago, according to the story, that Joi and her husband were told that they had only a 15% chance of becoming pregnant. They found out in 2016 that she was indeed pregnant, and Joi gave birth to an 11 pound boy.

Now, less than three years later, a 15 pound 5 ounce miracle.
