When the New York Pause ends this Friday, there are a few things that can resume, regardless of regions meeting state guidelines.

According to a syracuse.com story, there are a few things that can return this Friday for regional reopening. When New York Pause ends, drive-in movie theaters will be free to reopen. Syracuse.com says other activities that can resume include "landscaping and gardening" and "outdoor, low-risk recreational activities, such as tennis."

The drive-in movie theaters reopening is a big one. Seeing a movie is something we all love to do, so getting this option back when it comes to recreation is awesome. Locally of course, we have the Malta Drive-in and they posted to their Facebook page today that they will open May 22.  According to a WNYT report, Jericho in Glenmont should be set to open this Friday and Hathaway's in North Hoosick is also trying to get plans in place to open Friday.

That will be one of the things that will probably be a part of our new normal as we reopen in phases. Not everything will open at once, but since we have to all be inside for so long, we will want to get out and enjoy the things that have returned. So we can probably expect some increased wait times, and maybe even being turned away for social distancing reasons. But at this point, we will take what we can get!
