Folks in the Electric City will soon have a new destination for a great cup of coffee, great eats, and a great read.

And maybe this bookstore coffee combo is becoming a little bit of a trend for our local coffee shops? After all not much goes better with a great cup of coffee than a great book! Mocha Lisa's Cafe in Clifton Park recently reopened with a book store/coffee shop format and Schenectady is getting a similar destination.

A few years ago when the pandemic first hit, Puzzles Cafe at 515 State Street in Schenectady closed up shop. But the owners were not ready to walk away from the community they served. And now according to an Albany Business Review (ABR) story, the cafe location is coming back to life the first week of March with a new format.

Owner Sarah Mae Pratt tells ABR the new establishment will be called Novel Biblio Brew and will be a bookstore/coffee shop that features not only coffees and espressos but a food menu full of sandwiches and much more. The cafe will also serve up a bar menu of craft beer, wine, and cocktails. In the past, the cafe employed people with disabilities and ABR says many will be coming back to work at the new Novel Biblio Brew.

Saratoga County Community Finally Gets a Bigger & Better Stewart's Shop

One of the newest Stewart's Shops opened in Malta on Route 9 in Mechanicville. The old location was near the roundabouts but the place was small and not very convenient. This location is huge with a Sunoco gas station, plenty of seating inside, and food-to-go options including meatballs, macaroni and cheese, pizza, and more!
