Some people are just generous by nature. In a very cool act of kindness on Sunday, an entire New York City restaurant found out just how benevolent a particular NBA Hall of Fame player can be.

He has been known to buy turkeys at Thanksgiving, toys at Christmas and dozens of other nice gestures, just because. You won't be surprised when you hear his personal mantra according to sports.yahoo.com, "Whenever I try and leave the house, I try and do a good deed. I didn't mean for this to get out, I don't do it for that. I'm just trying to make people smile, that's all." You wish there were more people in his position in life that acted like Shaq.

According to Page Six on nypost.com, Sunday in New York City, the 4-time NBA Champion, League MVP and TV analyst Shaquille O'Neal put the icing on his personal date night with a "mystery woman" by buying the entire restaurant their meals! The lucky diners were enjoying their meals at the Jue Lan Club about 8:30pm, when the 7'1" gentle giant picked up their tabs.

According to the nypost.com report, after the 15-time NBA All Star and his dinner date finished their meals, the 50 year-old O’Neal proceeded to buy dinner for the entire 40 table restaurant and the server team. I guess the food was to his liking his liking! Whether it is buying sneakers for a crying young boy or paying off the "layaway" tabs for an entire department store at Christmas times, Shaq is just trying to make some people smile.
