It's that time of year again. Time to vote for your top three favorite toys from the nominations to be inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame.

According to the Strong Museum of Play, there are twelve finalists for this year's toys to be inducted into the National Toy Hall of Fame. There are thousands of nominations that come in each year and are sifted through.

This year's final twelve include many of my favorite childhood games: Battleship, Connect Four, and Trivial Pursuit. I preferred electronic Battleship; it was more fun when you heard the missile coming at you.

If you are as old as me, Trivial Pursuit was a very frustrating game. It was kind of like Jeopardy! and Google way before anyone had all the answers at their fingertips. I always tried to team up with the honors students or my sister, who was extremely smart.

Other finalists are the Catan, Cornhole, Furby, Tickle Me Elmo, Spirograph, Star Wars Lightsaber, Slime, Scooter, and snow?!  I am very confused by actual snow being nominated as a toy, but the criteria for the nomination are a toy that helps kids interact and play. So I guess that is how it qualifies.

My votes are going to Battleship and Connect Four. We played those games for hours, and they bring back some great childhood memories.

You can vote for the "Players' Choice" that is put in by the fans. Just click HERE. You have until September 24th to vote.
