With the Daytona 500 a little over a month away, NASCAR is announcing some changes to the sport. Changes we could see implemented for this season!

This morning Brian France, discussed some of the new ideas and announcements that will come this season.  Here is what he had to tell us!
1. New title sponsor: Sprint’s replacement will be named
As we all know, Sprint’s sponsorship ends this year. Brian France said he is confident that a replacement will be introduced. He went on to say that there has been a lot of interest. Any guesses? It took me so long to get used to “Sprint Cup Series.”

2. Digital dashes: A new dashboard to be installed in the cars
All Cup teams will be required to install the new digital dashboard designed by NASCAR. Information available on the dashboard: driver lap times.

3. Low-downforce package: To be used at almost all tracks
The new package will not be used at Daytona and Talladega, but at all other NASCAR tracks it will be allowed. The package is said to improve passing! We shall see!

4. Chase format: XFINITY & Campers World Truck Series will have a Chase
The XFINITY will follow in The Sprint Cup’s steps and host a Chase playoff! The XFINITY Chase will feature 12 drivers and seven races. Sprint Cup drivers who want the points in that series, cannot participate in any other series championship. Seems fair to me. Makes the XFINITY races more exciting!

What do you think?  I'm most excited to hear the new sponsor!  Lowes Cup?
