Mom Creates Safety Seat Belt Cover for Daughter with Autism
If you have a child with health issues, you may have never thought about what may happen if, God forbid, you get into an accident, or if they're at school and something happens. One Mom thought about it and came up with a great solution so you can know that your children are taken care of properly.
Natalie Bell, a mother in Australia, has a daughter named Shae who has cochlear implants. She happened to think about what would happen if her daughter was in a car accident. If something happened to Natalie, she wondered how she would warn the doctors so that she wouldn't get an MRI.
Natalie decided to make personalized seat belt covers for a wide-range of health issues so that parents don't need to worry about their child's well-being if they may get into an accident. Some of the examples Bored Panda posted on their website were even used on backpacks and other places to warn others of children's health conditions.
Some of the covers she's been advertising were:
- "I have autism, I may resist help"
- "I am deaf, I have a cochlear implant, No MRI"
- "I have Down Syndrome, I may resist help"
- "I'm non verbal and have epilepsy"
- "I have Type 2 Diabetes, insulin dependent"
