Excuse me.  Did I read this right? Is this a misprint? Actually, no it isn't!  People in California are actually throwing measle parties

I'm not sure measles are a reason to celebrate, but that's not what the party is for.  According to  KQED blog in Los Angeles:

Parents purposely expose unvaccinated kids to infected ones to build up immunity.

 

Now I know that vaccination is becoming a huge debate in this country, but health officials are really upset over this idea.  Many health officials are saying that there is no proof that natural immunity works any better than vaccinating. Here's an explanation via YouTube.

Are YOU vaccinating YOUR child?  Do you think it's a good idea?  Sorry, folks.  I remember getting measles years ago (and I MEAN years ago, and I was sick as a dog).  I'm not on board with this at all.  Would love to know your thoughts though.
