A man that was released last Friday from Franklin Correctional Facility in Malone, NY ended up in jail, again. This time it was in the Rensselaer County Correctional Facility.

He was spotted in a fenced-in backyard and then disappeared into a garage. According to a press release from The East Greenbush Police Department, this happened on New York Avenue.

After the alert neighbor saw him in the yard, he flagged down a police officer. Other officers were called to the scene and went into the garage. That’s when they saw 60-year-old James B. Provost trying to hide.

Provost also had some frozen food on him that he allegedly stole from a freezer. It was also discovered that he allegedly had some liquor that was stolen from another house in the area.

Provost appeared before a town judge and was charged with burglary in the second degree and larceny. He was then sent to jail.
