Man Didn’t Get Far Allegedly Stealing 55 Inch TV

A 36-year-old Schenectady man was in the East Greenbush Walmart after midnight Friday morning, when he was spotted allegedly running out of the store with a box containing a 55 inch television.

In a press release from the East Greenbush Police Department, security personnel from the store called the police, and gave them the information. The police arrived in time to see Daniel O. McDougle allegedly carrying the tv, and then tossing it into some shrubbery.

That’s when  a North Greenbush Police Officer took McDougle into custody and also recovered the television. McDougle will be in East Greenbush Town Court on May 1. Authorities are still investigating because they think there might be another person involved.
