LongHorn Steakhouse Finally Announces Colonie Opening Date

We already knew a new steakhouse was coming to town and now we finally have a date when we can start eating there.

Back in August, I wrote about how the LongHorn Steakhouse website added an "Albany" page to its website. We first heard the rumors of a LongHorn Steakhouse all the way back in 2013 but never got any word on when or where we could expect it. All it took was the Lazare auto dealership closing and finally, there was the perfect space for our Colonie LongHorn!

We first thought that the restaurant would be opening on October 22, which has already come and gone, but we didn't have an update. According to a press release from the Albany LongHorn Steakhouse, it's not too far off the original reports. "LongHorn Steakhouse will officially open its newest restaurant at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Colonie."

The restaurant will celebrate with a "lasso-cutting" ceremony at 2:00 pm and one special guest will be able to cut into the Albany LongHorn's very first steak. The restaurant will be on 144 Wolf Road and based on how they describe their food and the quality they serve, I can imagine the food will be pretty delicious.
