The Albany area has a lot of places to watch fireworks for the 4th of July. If you’re wondering where you can go watch, look no more - we’ve complied a list for you. Nothing matches the enormous fireworks display at the Empire State Plaza but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some other awesome places to catch them!
We will be on hand all day July 4th at the Empire State Plaza because the empire state knows how to celebrate the birth of our nation! This is an all day festival with plenty of family activities and fun.

We love Jumpin’ Jacks - and it’s hard to find someone who doesn’t. What makes it even more fun are the water ski shows that are performed in the Mohawk River, right behind this midcentury hamburger stand. Beyond the 4th, there are plenty more chances for Water Ski Shows and Fireworks at Jumpin' Jacks! CBS News even did a story on this last year.
Please note - this 4th of July display is the weekend prior, on Friday June 29th.
Speculator shows off their American pride in classic small town style with a great fireworks display, a parade, and a whole weekend of activities. This year's theme is "Past, Present, Future of Lake Pleasant" July 7th, 2012
It seems very logical to watch a 4th of July fireworks display in a park called Freedom Park - and the park has plenty of open space to fill and get a great view of the fireworks too! This year the fireworks are on June 29th (same display as Jumpin Jacks) and features music from the classic rock band Headroom.
