Looks like despite marital problems, we can expect to see Jennifer Lopez back for her second season on “American Idol.”  Weeks of speculation have gone by, but it's been confirmed, J-Lo will make a return to the show's 11th season.  While she has only signed a one-year agreement with the network, Steven Tyler will be back after committing to a two-year contract.

Also, coming back will be judge Randy Jackson and of course, the show's host, Ryan Seacrest.  The latest trio of judges earned 10 Emmy nominations in their first year together.  Early skepticism was stated when Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul departed from the show, however; the show's success last year proved critics wrong.

.Auditions for season 11 will begin in just a couple of weeks.

Are you excited for the new season?  I have to say I really enjoyed the reality of the "singing competition" this past season, especially since two country singers were the semi-finalists.  I also felt Tyler and Lopez added an incredible over abundance of reality with Lopez's emphathy and Tyler's quirky commentary.  It should be interesting -- what do you think?
