Yankees GM Urges Kids To Join Niskayuna Baseball This Spring [VIDEO]
New York Yankees General Manager Brian Cashman shares a video message encouraging kids to register for youth baseball right here in New York's Capital Region.
Major League Baseball spring training is underway, and the New York Yankees are hoping to put together a season that brings their 28th World Series Championship, and first since 2009. Yankees GM Brian Cashman took the time away from camp to remind Niskayuna parents and players to get registered for their upcoming season. See the video below.

This is not the first time Brian Cashman connected with the Niskayuna Baseball League. In 2025 Cashman delivered a similar video message encouraging parents and players alike to get signed up and ready for the 2025 season. Here is some of what he had to say this year.
I am Brian Cashman, General Manager of the New York Yankees, back once again to remind parents that Nisky baseball is taking their registration applications. They are currently open but it closes on March the 2nd. Opening day is just around the corner on April 18th. - Yankees GM Brian Cashman
Long Island native Brian Cashman has been the General Manager and Senior Vice President of the New York Yankees since 1998. The Yankees have won seven American League pennants and four World Series championships during his tenure.

Niskayuna Rec Baseball registration is now open for the 2026 season, but registration will close on Monday March 2, 2026. The season gets underway on April 18th and games will be played until June 20th.
